Changing your Display Name

Both video visit hosts and participants should ensure that they are using the preferred name that they want other participants to see.

For example, initials or first name only if the video visit is for a group setting where full names are not required.

When joining a video visit the app uses the name that was last used and displays it as the participant’s name. If you want to change the name displayed, follow these instructions.

Using a Mobile Device

  1. If you are in a video visit, disconnect from the call.

    If you are not in a video visit, go to your device’s home screen, locate the Pexip Infinity Connect app Pexip app icon, and tap to open.

  2. The Pexip preview screen displays your self view above a panel that contains a Name field and three options.
  3. Tap the Name field and change as needed.
  4. To set the name change, tap anywhere outside the name field. The next time you join a video visit, the new settings will take effect.
  5. To rejoin a video visit, return to your email invitation and tap the Start eVisit link.

Using a Windows (PC) or Mac Computer

  1. If you are in a video visit, disconnect from the call.

    If you are not in a video visit, open your email invitation and click .

  2. A self-view video with a “You’re invited to” panel appears.
  3. Tap the Name field and change as needed.
  4. To set the name change, click anywhere outside the name field. The next time you join a video visit, the new settings will take effect
  5. Close the browser window. (To rejoin a video visit, return to your email invitation and click the Start eVisit link.
